Overview 

The Public Relations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the execution of strategic PR initiatives that elevate the TP-Link and Tapo brands and drive demand. This role contributes to building brand visibility and credibility through media relationship management, working both directly and in partnership with external agencies. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of integrated PR campaigns to enhance brand visibility across key media outlets.
  • Draft and edit PR materials, including press releases, media alerts, pitch emails, and media kits to support product launches and announcements.
  • Coordinate product sample distribution to media, managing logistics and follow-up communication with reviewers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze media coverage, delivering timely reports and insights to internal teams. 
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts, identifying opportunities for meaningful coverage.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing teams and other internal teams to align PR initiatives with broader product launch strategies.
  • Track award opportunities and licensing, while identifying potential media partnerships and native editorial collaborations.
  • Monitor media sentiment and industry trends, surfacing insights to help inform PR strategy and messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.  
  • 0-2 years of experience in PR, communications, or a related field; including relevant internship experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling content across a variety of formats.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly adaptable.
  • Interest in consumer electronics, smart home technology, or the broader tech industry is a plus.
  • Must have continuous work authorization in the US without the need for visa sponsorships.
