ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary

The PPS (Prospective Payment System) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all activities related to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System (IRFPPS). The PPS Coordinator ensures accurate and timely completion of patient assessment data, regulatory compliance, and appropriate reimbursement. This role collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing, therapy, case management, and coding professionals to ensure documentation reflects the patient's clinical condition, functional status, and services provided.

Key Responsibilities       PPS and IRFPAI Management
  • Maintaining IRF regulatory compliance
  • Documenting pertinent information during interdisciplinary team conference
  • Quality monitoring and performance improvement
  • Provides education and staff support
Qualifications
  • Licensed healthcare professional (RN, PT, OT, SLP, CTRS, SW).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation; PPS Coordinator experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to analyze clinical and financial data.
  • Effective interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
