   -  Demonstrated project management experience.



POSITION SUMMARY
The Application Specialist - PowerSchool provides technical, administrative, and operational support for the
district's PowerSchool environment. This position manages user security, system configurations, custom
pages, fields, imports, exports, reports, and workflows that support efficient school and district operations. The
specialist collaborates with administrators, counselors, office staff, technology staff, and the PowerSchool team
to support annual setup processes, troubleshoot system issues, improve data accuracy, and develop reporting
tools that support teaching, learning, and decision-making. This role also helps district and building
administrators identify effective ways to use PowerSchool to meet their operational and instructional goals.






TASK AREAS
   -  Manage PowerSchool security roles, user access, and security groups to ensure appropriate
       permissions for district, school, and department-level users.
   -  Create, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerSchool pages, screens, fields, forms, and
       administrative workflows.
   -  Manage PowerSchool imports and exports, including scheduled data transfers, one-time data requests,
      and recurring operational data files.
   -  Manage and support Registration through the integration of PowerSchool Enrollment
   -  Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerSchool reports to support building administrators, district
       leaders, counselors, teachers, and support staff.
   -  Collaborate with school administrative teams to identify reporting needs that support teaching, learning,
       student services, attendance, discipline, grading, and operational decision-making.
   -  Support the annual PowerSchool school year setup process in coordination with the PowerSchool
       team, building administrators, counselors, and district leadership.
   -  Manage custom fields, custom pages, and system configurations that improve operational efficiency
      and support district processes.
   -  Review and improve PowerSchool workflows to reduce manual work, increase data accuracy, and
      strengthen consistency across schools.
   -  Serve as a district-level PowerSchool technical and administrative support resource for administrators
      and key office staff.
   -  Assist district and school administrators in identifying the best ways to use PowerSchool to support
      their goals, initiatives, and daily operations.
   -  Troubleshoot PowerSchool issues related to access, configuration, data integrity, reports, imports,
       exports, and user workflows.
   -  Coordinate with PowerSchool support, third-party vendors, and internal technology staff to resolve
      system issues and implement improvements.
   -  Maintain documentation for PowerSchool processes, security roles, customizations, reports, imports,
      exports, and annual setup procedures.
   -  Provide training, guidance, and support to district and building staff on PowerSchool tools, workflows,
      reports, and best practices.
   -  Monitor PowerSchool system use, data quality, and operational needs to recommend improvements
      that support efficient and effective district operations.
   -  Perform other duties as assigned.
