Overview

The PowerBuilder Software Development Analyst II works under the general supervision of the Software Development Manager and is responsible for the review, analysis, and modification of programming systems. These responsibilities include ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications, as well as, the coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs, as it pertains to new and existing systems. Additionally, this colleague is expected to deliver exceptional customer service and is responsible for providing accurate and timely completion of technical development and support tasks in accordance with Information Systems standards and methodologies, as well as requirements defined by Concentra technology standards.

Responsibilities
  • Help maintain, improve, and develop clinical and EDI processes
  • Maintain understanding of integration requirements for systems and providing ESB design
  • Design & Develop PowerBuilder applications based on business requirements
  • Participate in Integration Code review & Optimization discussions
  • Provide Testing support & Deployment support to release teams
  • Build & Deploy automation using Bamboo tool
  • Conduct Unit testing & automating regression testing scenarios using available toolset
  • Experiment on new solution patterns, new tools and providing proof of concepts to Application architects
  • Use monitoring tools to properly diagnose system or application issues or downtime
  • Monitor and continuously improve the overall performance of IS operations
  • Investigate issues/reported bugs, identifying the cause, analyzing impact, and providing best possible solution
  • Respond to and resolve user technical support issues via telephone, email, and remote access software as needed
  • Document business processes business rules in Confluence
  • Work periodic flexible schedule

Qualifications

Education/CredentialsEducation Level: Bachelor's Degree

  • Degree must be from an accredited college or university
  • Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable

Job-Related Experience

  • Customarily has at least 7 years of PowerBuilder (12.6 or later) experience with knowledge of C#
  • Customarily has at least 7 years working experience in a software development or production support role with at least 4 years of application development experience
  • Has proficient knowledge of C#, HTML, JavaScript, SYBASE/Oracle/MS Sql Server, SQL and query language, Unix Shell Scripting, Integration Platforms, API's
  • Must have experience in Business Process Improvement, Problem Management/Preventive Maintenance and Analytical & Conceptual Problem Solving
  • Large scale multi-site IS operations experience Preferred
