As a Senior Software Developer, you'll play a key role in researching, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications that support our nationwide business operations. You'll work closely with business partners and fellow developers to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and support ongoing modernization efforts.
 
This is a 100% remote position with quarterly travel required to our corporate office in Spartanburg, SC for meetings, collaboration, and special projects. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Wisconsin. 
What You'll Do
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Develop and enhance business-critical applications with a strong focus on PowerBuilder technologies.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Support modernization initiatives and contribute ideas that improve systems, processes, and development practices.
  • Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and development approaches.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and solution design discussions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Assist with second-level application and system support as needed.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible software development experience.
  • Strong experience with PowerBuilder development.
  • Experience with SQL and relational database technologies.
  • Experience with .NET technologies is a plus.
  • Experience participating in software modernization or system enhancement projects.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience working in collaborative, team-oriented environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is preferred.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Ability to travel to Spartanburg, SC quarterly and for special projects as needed.
