Job description

Senior PowerBuilder Developer

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 04 Month
Work Model: Onsite (3–4 days per week)
Interview: In-person required

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior PowerBuilder Developer to support and maintain a legacy revenue/tax processing system and to develop system interfaces during an active modernization effort. This role requires strong PowerBuilder expertise, database experience, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, support, and maintain legacy PowerBuilder applications
  • Design and develop system enhancements and interfaces
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, and architectural discussions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams
  • Support application lifecycle management and version control
  • Work independently and as part of an Agile/Scrum development team

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years hands-on experience developing PowerBuilder (v12.5 or higher) applications
  • Strong experience designing and developing clean, maintainable code
  • 7+ years experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or similar)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps / Team Foundation Server
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tax processing or revenue management systems
