The Opportunity:
Join the NTCSS team modernizing critical Navy logistics systems supporting global aviation, afloat, and shore activities.
Leverage AI tools (NIPRGPT, GenAI.mil) to reverse-engineer legacy PowerBuilder applications, create SRS/SDD documentation, and bridge legacy code with modern requirements for the RSupply Web Modernization initiative.
Role Split: 70% Systems Engineering/Requirements Validation | 30% PowerBuilder Development
Work in SAFe methodology supporting Navy supply chain, logistics, and personnel administration.
Responsibilities:
Systems Engineering & Requirements Validation:
Reverse-engineer PowerBuilder applications using AI tools; validate requirements against system behavior
Create/maintain 20+ SRS and SDD documents using AI-assisted and traditional analysis
Develop cross-reference documentation mapping code to functional requirements
Conduct SME validation sessions and support RSupply Web modernization
Validate functionality across multiple server environments
PowerBuilder Development & Maintenance:
Develop/enhance PowerBuilder applications (2017 R3+; 2022 experience preferred)
Apply PFC and OOP principles; troubleshoot complex issues
