Job Summary:
Crestline is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and delivering actionable insights into key business metrics.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, Power Query, and other advanced features of Power BI.
• Build efficient data models using Power BI Desktop, create calculated columns and measures using advanced DAX functions, and optimize performance.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including SQL Server, Excel, Share Point, Rest API’s, Azure, and other enterprise databases.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for BI solutions.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data presented in Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance and usability.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members on Power BI best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and data visualization.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and data visualization, with at least 3 years of dedicated experience in Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
• Proficiency in DAX and Power Query.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other database technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
