Job Summary

MPS is looking for an exceptionalReliabilityEngineer/Sr. Reliability Engineer to join our Quality and Reliability team.This isa key roleto ensure ournew powermoduledevicesfor AI Datacenter applicationsmeetthehigh bar for reliability and quality. You will collaborate closely with internal and external engineering teamsfor joint-qualification design, Design for Reliability (DFR), Reliability Tests Planning etc. with effective data collection and analysis forreliabilityvalidation. Thisis an outstandingopportunity tocontribute to the development ofourinnovativeproducts withprofound responsibilities andimpacts.

Essential Functions

  • Joint-Qualification Design.Closely work withDesign, Marketing/Customers, Application teamsas integral part of Quality Assurance functionto developReliabilitystrategiesandmethodologies based on customer requirementsandmission-profile analysis.

  • Experiment-Design.Design experimentsto validate design and hardware meet the intended use profile and reliability targets.

  • Design for Reliability (DFR).Evaluate risks and implement effective mitigation strategieswithoptimal trade-off analysis.

  • Joint-Reliability Tests. Co-lead reliability test planningand progress monitoringat both IC level and module levelofspecific product families.

  • Failure Analysis Support. For Reliability related failure cases, driveroot causeanalysiswith internal and external teams and ensure corrective actions are validated before release.

  • Global Database. Refineand maintainReliability database infrastructureto enable efficient and timely internal external QA communications.

  • Rel/QA Data Supports. Work as an integral function of Quality Assurance toanalyze reliability data using statistical tools such as JMP and Reliasoft and present findings to internal and external teams.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5+ years specializing in reliability testing and qualification of IC device and package to AEC/JEDEC standards.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis such as JMP/Weibull, and advanced failure analysis tools such as SEM, CSAM, Xray, OBIRCH/TIVA.

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device structures and physics especially in SiC and GaN.

  • Experience in supporting customers.

  • Experience with AI data center power supply architectures is a plus.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $135,000 - $165,000.The base salary range for this position in Washington is $115,000 - $145,000.
