Job description

Job Title: Power Generation Technician Location: Midland, Texas Type: Direct Compensation: $37 hourly (+/-) Contractor Work Model: Onsite โ€“ onsite Hours: 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidays

Power Generation Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems using CAT ET and related software.
  • Interpret wiring schematics and technical manuals to service control hardware and instrumentation.
  • Document all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, including PPE use and safe driving practices.
  • Maintain company property and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Collaborate with operators and technicians to minimize downtime and prioritize workload.
  • Prioritize workload effectively to avoid equipment failure and unplanned downtime.
  • Must be safety conscious and willing to use stop work authority when necessary.
  • Perform general housekeeping and routine maintenance of company property, including service vehicle and trailer.
Power Generation Technician Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience with CAT G3520 engines and Solar SMT60 turbines.
  • Proficiency in CAT ET and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong understanding of natural gas engines, turbines, control systems, and network protocols.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with clean record.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Physically able to work in varied conditions and operate vehicles safely.
