Job description

With over 70 years of operating experience, our Power Delivery services include engineering and design, installation and maintenance, material and equipment procurement, repair of electrical transmission, distribution, substation, wireless communication, and storm restoration. Our experience ranges from small engineering and consulting projects to multi-million dollar turn-key distribution, substation, and transmission line programs.

Primoris is seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented proposal specialist to support the marketing team in our Power Delivery segment. As a proposal specialist for this segment, you will have meticulous attention to detail, project coordinating acumen, be highly organized, and be process-oriented. The proposal specialist will fully commit to delivering exceptional customer service and optimal outcomes to our internal and external partners. Proficiency in managing a range of duties with a strong ability to balance several tasks simultaneously is imperative.

In the role of pursuit specialist, we'll count on you to:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end bid proposal process, from initial opportunity assessment and response strategy development to proposal/SOQ development and delivery, often within aggressive timelines.
  • Work within a team to establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to standardized and effective proposal processes.
  • Implement best practices in bid management, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and enhanced efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date bid and client information within the company CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain high-value qualification materials to support client engagement and the proposal process.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in the development of compelling and persuasive proposals that effectively communicate Primoris' value and differentiators.
  • Facilitate Go/No Go, proposal strategy, and kick-off meeting discussions, ensuring strategic win themes and value propositions are effectively incorporated throughout the bid.
  • Develop and maintain Win Plans/Pursuit Matrices to support the bid/SOQ process, ensuring quality and compliance with client requirements.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of the proposal process, including the proposal schedule and outline, RFP/RFQ requirements, team meetings, style and graphics conventions, and final checks.
  • Facilitate internal reviews of proposal documents in accordance with company guidance.
  • Develop, collect, and edit technical and commercial sections of the proposal for content, completeness, and readability.
  • Ensure proposal compliance with budget, cost tracking, pricing methodologies, control guidelines, and other company policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with managers to conduct formal proposal closeouts, including the facilitation of internal and external debriefs.
  • Ensure alignment with company marketing collateral and support the enhancement of marketing materials.
  • Ensure all proposal materials are consistent with company branding, formats, look, and quality.
  • Perform special projects and related work as required to support Primoris' marketing and proposal activities.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in A/E/C preferred.
  • Minimym 3 years of experience in the transmission and distribution industry.
  • BA/BS in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Create Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven experience in proposal development and management.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills are a must, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
