Job Title: Powder Coat Technician Job Description The Powder Coat Technician is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment. The Powder Coat Technician plays a critical role in ensuring products receive a durable, high-quality finish while supporting production goals and deadlines.

  • ResponsibilitiesPrepare metal surfaces for powder coating through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other pre-treatment processes.
  • Apply powder coating materials using spray equipment while maintaining proper coverage and finish quality.
  • Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature settings to ensure coatings meet required specifications.
  • Inspect coated products for defects, finish consistency, thickness, and overall quality standards.
  • Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary to achieve customer and company quality expectations.
  • Maintain powder coating equipment, spray guns, and work areas in clean and operational condition.
  • Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and customer specifications.
  • Safely handle and move materials, parts, and finished products throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time completion of orders.
  • Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company policies related to powder coating operations.
  • Essential SkillsExperience in powder coating, painting, finishing, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate powder coating equipment and related production machinery.

Pay and Benefits
