Job description

Our company is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working individual to fill our poultry crew member position. The successful candidate will be part of a team of approximately 10 crew members that work together to fulfill the various services that we provide. Dust and sweat are a product of our fast-pace work environment. Crew members will report each day to our shop location at your appointed report time. Transportation to and from our office in Talmo, GA is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Follow all Biosecurity protocol (coveralls, disinfected boots, hair net)
  • When arrive on site be prepared to unload all necessary equipment and begin setting up according to the crew leader’s directive.
  • Assist in driving birds into catch pen when necessary.
  • Birds will be carefully flushed to one end of the chicken house using a net
  • For each service we provide the crew leader will give direction on how many birds are to be carried per hand.
  • Carefully watch birds to make sure birds are not piling up.
  • Maintain a Neat and Organized work environment.
  • As part of the TEAM you will complete task given to you by your crew leader.
  • Mix vaccines ONLY as instructed by the Crew Supervisor (Vaccinating only)
  • Precisely administer vaccines ONLY as instructed by crew leader (vaccinating only)
  • Properly count birds being vaccinated, moved in cages, or sorted.
  • Return all items to their proper location in an organized manner.
  • Clean and disinfecting equipment when arrive back to shop.

A recent addition to Duck’s Poultry Services Inc. is Duck’s Poultry Transport LLC. a subsidiary company providing turnkey solutions to our customers' pullet transportation needs. The services that we provide to our customers include loading, transporting, and unloading live poultry at breeder farms. Picking up eggs from breeder farms and delivering them back to hatchery.
