Job description

D2 Government Solutions is seeking two qualified candidates for Postal Service Center Support Specialist positions at our Luke Air Force Base Postal Service Center location. Final scheduling assignments will be determined based on contract needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, sort, inspect, and distribute personal mail and parcels for authorized Postal Service Center customers.
  • Support customer window operations and assist dormitory residents, transient personnel, temporary duty personnel, newly assigned military members, and Fam Camp residents.
  • Process accountable mail and parcels using the Government-designated tracking process or approved manual records when authorized.
  • Inspect incoming mail and packages for damage or suspicious items and follow required notification procedures.
  • Maintain mail receptacles, parcel lockers, and related postal service areas in a clean, secure, and serviceable condition.
  • Assist with general delivery, mail directory services, change-of-address processing, and customer briefings for incoming and departing personnel.
  • Report maintenance needs, postal issues, security concerns, and unusual conditions to the appropriate Government or contractor point of contact.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to support postal service center operations in accordance with DoD, Air Force, and USPS standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required base access credentials and comply with installation security procedures.
  • Ability to be appointed as a Military Postal Clerk or Mail Orderly using DD Form 285 before performing applicable postal duties.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with military members, residents, transient personnel, temporary duty personnel, and Government personnel.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow detailed postal handling, accountability, and security procedures.
