Position Summary:
The University of New Mexico School of Medicine's Office for Advancement and Alumni Relations and Office for Community Faculty is seeking a motivated and reliable student employee to provide day-to-day support for communications, website updates, and office operations. This is an ongoing position ideal for a student who is interested in learning on the job, contributing high-quality work, and supporting engagement efforts tied to philanthropy, alumni relations, and community faculty involvement.
The student employee will play an important role in keeping web content current and visually engaging while also assisting with general office and event support. This position requires initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to jump into projects as needs arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Update and maintain departmental web pages using a WYSIWYG content management system
Upload and refresh graphics, photos, links, and written content on a regular basis
Assist with the creation and placement of small graphics and visual content for web use
Help ensure website content remains accurate, timely, and visually appealing
Provide general office support, including inventory control, restocking common areas, and packing materials
Assist with preparation for events, including assembling bags and materials
Support events day-of, including setup, check-in, guest stewardship, and breakdown
Greet and direct students or visitors who come into the office
Provide general support to all team members while on campus
Assist with miscellaneous and last-minute projects as needed
Work Schedule:
Up to 15 hours per week (not to exceed 20 hours per week)
Schedule is flexible around class commitments
Availability to work on campus during regular business hours is required
Occasional evening or event support may be required
Pay Rate:
16.00 - 18.50 per hour
Work-study not required
