We're Looking for a Maintenance Technician!
Responsibilities:
As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, your day will start with a review of the maintenance log, addressing any pending issues to ensure that all systems are fully operational for the day ahead. Your expertise in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems will be essential as you perform both routine repairs and preventive maintenance on the hotels critical systems. Every task you undertake, from fixing a faulty light switch to ensuring the air conditioning is running smoothly, will contribute to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests.

Throughout the day, you'll respond to maintenance requests from various departments, ensuring that everything from guest rooms to common areas is in perfect condition. Whether it's adjusting the temperature in a room or quickly addressing a plumbing issue, your ability to solve problems efficiently and with a sense of urgency will make all the difference in the guest experience.

At Yurbban Hospitality Group, collaboration is key. You'll work closely with teams from housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to make sure maintenance activities are coordinated seamlessly, without disrupting daily operations. Theres a strong focus on maintaining our assets, and you'll be conducting regular inspections to identify any areas in need of attention, always with an eye for detail.

In addition to your regular duties, you will play an important role in the hotel's longer-term projects. Whether were planning a room renovation or upgrading systems to be more sustainable, you'll contribute your technical expertise to ensure that these improvements are executed effectively. As part of this, you'll keep meticulous records of all your activities, including inspections and repairs, so that our maintenance records are always up to date.

Safety is a priority at Yurbban, and you will be responsible for identifying any potential hazards and addressing them promptly, ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times. Lastly, we know that emergencies can happen at any time, so being on call for urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours is also a part of your role.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including being on call for emergencies.
  • Solid understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.

Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.

Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.

Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more

Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
