Job description
About the position
The Hotel Maintenance Engineer at the Sirata Beach Resort is responsible for ensuring the physical
property, equipment, and life safety systems are in optimal working condition. This role supports the
overall success of hotel operations by performing routine maintenance, responding to emergencies,
and addressing guest repair requests. The engineer must work independently and collaboratively
with hotel staff and guests, demonstrating effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC,
plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, floods, and fire alarms.
,
• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
,
• Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky
spigots and faucets.

• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs,
and patching holes in walls.
,
• Report any maintenance problems, equipment failure, and safety hazards to Chief
Engineer/Management immediately.

• Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, as required.

• Communicate with guests, management, and fellow team members to resolve maintenance issues.

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure their longevity and
efficiency.

• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies.

• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 2 years amp;#39; experience in hotel maintenance or a related field.

• Ability to learn general knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and
telephones.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
