- 5+ years of experience in petroleum/fuel project management
What is the work?

  • Manage end to end execution of corporate fuel/car wash marketing projects from concept through implementation and closeout
  • Develop practical project plans, schedules, budgets and risk assessments aligned with HEB decision making and approval processes
  • Balance speed, cost, and quality while maintaining alignment with long term business objectives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal bureaucracy and a high level of personal accountability
  • Work closely with internal teams including fuel/car wash operations, marketing, digital, real estate, construction, finance, and compliance
  • Coordinate directly with vendors, contractors, and technology partners supporting our in-house fuel model
  • Manage vendor performance deliverables and costs with a strong emphasis on value and accountability
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for project stakeholders in a lean corporate environment
  • Support internally controlled fuel/car wash pricing strategies, promotional programs, and margin optimization initiatives
  • Lead projects integrating programs, POS systems, and digital platforms
  • Coordinate fuel/car wash station branding, signage, forecourt improvements, and customer experience enhancements
  • Support new fuel/car wash station openings, and remodels tied to grocery store locations
  • Ensure initiatives are repeatable, cost effective, and easy to operate at scale
  • Track project budgets, vendor spend, and forecast with a strong focus on cost discipline
  • Monitor KPI's related to execution efficiency, return on investment, and operational impact
  • Provide clear straightforward project updates to leadership without unnecessary complexity
  • Apply project management standards and tools in a practical right sized manner appropriate for HEB
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental safety and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce cost, and improve speed to market
  • Contribute to the development of fuel/car wash operation standards playbooks and best practices
