Job description

Assyst is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the migration of a retail gift card program into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (D365) and oversee the successful integration of payment processing solutions within a complex retail technology environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing project execution, ensuring compliance with payment security standards, and delivering a seamless transition of gift card operations into the client's enterprise application ecosystem.

This role requires strong expertise in project management, vendor coordination, retail POS systems, payment processing integrations, and enterprise application deployments. The successful candidate will drive project planning, execution, testing, migration, stabilization, and support handoff activities while ensuring delivery within established timelines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan covering discovery, solution design, build and configuration, testing and pilot activities, migration and cutover, and project handoff.
  • Coordinate with client stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure timely completion of project deliverables and milestones.
  • Lead project execution activities and oversee assigned tasks across all participating teams.
  • Monitor project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide regular project status updates, including semi-weekly and ad-hoc progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among technical teams, payment solution providers, and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee testing, pilot execution, migration activities, production cutover, and stabilization efforts.
  • Ensure continuity and functionality of existing gift card programs throughout the migration process.
  • Monitor vendor activities to ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
  • Support governance processes and maintain project documentation throughout the engagement.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including stabilization reporting and transition planning.
  • Deliver support handoff packages containing setup documentation, support procedures, maintenance guidelines, and operational instructions for gift card management.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved within the defined implementation timeline.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in Project Management or Program Management for enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (D365 Commerce) or retail POS implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, point-of-sale systems, and payment processing environments.
  • Experience coordinating multiple vendors, third-party partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Understanding of credit card payment processing, payment gateways, and financial transaction systems.
  • Experience leading migration, cutover, stabilization, and production deployment activities.
  • Familiarity with gift card management systems, retail program migrations, or loyalty program implementations.
