Portside is a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions for the global aviation industry. Our platform powers critical operations across business aviation, regional airlines, and aircraft leasing & finance, helping over 1,000 aviation organizations streamline operations, improve decision-making, and operate more efficiently.
Backed by leading technology investors Vista Equity Partners and Insight Partners, Portside is entering an exciting phase of growth. We are expanding our platform, investing in AI driven innovation, and building a global team focused on shaping the future of aviation technology.
Job Summary
Portside is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This role will serve as the critical link between Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, ensuring Portside's products are clearly positioned, effectively launched, and consistently communicated to the market.
The ideal candidate has experience marketing B2B SaaS products in complex industries, excels at translating product capabilities into customer value, and enjoys working cross-functionally to drive business impact. This role will own product positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and launch execution across Portside's expanding product portfolio.
This position requires strong collaboration across departments and the ability to influence without direct authority while helping shape how Portside is perceived in the aviation technology market.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously refine Portside's product positioning, messaging, and value propositions across products, modules, buyer segments, and user personas.
  • Translate product capabilities into clear, compelling business value for aviation customers, including aircraft management companies, flight departments, charter operators, fractional operators, lessors, and aircraft owners.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Portside's buyers, users, decision-makers, and influencers, using customer, market, and competitive insights to inform strategy.
  • Partner closely with Product leadership and Product Managers to understand roadmap priorities, product strategy, customer challenges, and competitive differentiation, translating these into market-facing narratives.
  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, major releases, integrations, packaging updates, and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain core product marketing assets, including pitch decks, product one-pagers, website content, demo narratives, release communications, FAQs, competitive battlecards, and customer-facing collateral.
  • Partner with Sales to strengthen product positioning in customer conversations, demonstrations, RFPs, competitive evaluations, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
  • Develop sales enablement materials and training programs that help customer-facing teams clearly articulate Portside's value, differentiation, customer outcomes, and proof points.
  • Own competitive intelligence initiatives, including competitor positioning, strengths and weaknesses, market trends, pricing and packaging signals, and win/loss insights.
  • Establish structured feedback loops across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Implementation, and customers to identify market opportunities, adoption barriers, customer needs, and expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to develop customer stories, case studies, testimonials, ROI examples, and other proof points that demonstrate Portside's impact.
  • Help shape Portside's category narrative and thought leadership in aviation technology, including themes such as operational efficiency, automation, AI-driven insights, data visibility, integrations, and owner experience.
  • Support pricing, packaging, segmentation, and growth initiatives by bringing customer, market, competitive, and sales-cycle insights into strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate market research, competitive intelligence, content creation, messaging development, and go-to-market execution while measuring and optimizing product marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Product Marketing experience within a B2B SaaS organization, supporting software products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Proven experience developing product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for software products.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success launching products, features, or strategic initiatives and measuring business impact.
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials and supporting customer-facing teams throughout the sales cycle.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging customer, market, competitive, and performance data to drive decisions.
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis, market research, customer interviews, and win/loss analysis.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to support market research, content development, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market execution.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS and/or complex industries such as aviation, transportation, logistics, fintech, ERP, or operational software.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary
  • Fully remote work
  • Generous time off policy
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Dynamic, collaborative, and fast-growing work environment.
