WATG is hiring a Construction Administration Coordinator for our office in Atlantic City.  This role requires in-person collaboration, with the option to work remotely only on Friday. 

ROLE

The Construction Administration Coordinator supports the CA team in the completion of projects under construction. The position is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities, as they may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Before the start of construction, reviews project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance of construction documents with code requirements to avoid potential field issues
  • Conducts periodic observation of construction activities
  • Prepares and issues field visit reports and meeting minutes as appropriate to record project progress
  • Reviews and processes submittals and shop drawings
  • Records issues and tracks them through to resolution (RFIs)
  • Maintains a record of field changes and keeps record documents
  • Attends job meetings at the construction site(s) and/or owner’s location (VIRTUAL ONLY)
  • Immediately reports to the Construction Administration Project Manager field issues regarding design, documentation, safety, schedule, budget, etc.
  • Reports to the Managing Principal and/or Project Architect any issues affecting the Architect’s Fee and Scope of Work
  • Provides support to Managing Principal and Project Managers
  • Demonstrates strong professional and business values with staff and SOSH WATG clients, consultants, contractors and the community

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, means and methods
  • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and interpreting contract documents, project drawings, and specifications
  • Able to review, revise and re-issue project drawings in AutoCAD and Bluebeam or similar editing software; MS Office proficiency with MS Project experience preferred
  • Able to multi-task to manage multiple projects and competing demands to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and coordinate effectively with WATG consultants and provide clients with appropriate field representation
  • Dedicated management skills with close attention to detail
  • Leadership ability with the ability to mentor and develop others

JOB INFORMATION

  • The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000; however, the base compensation presented to a candidate may vary based on skills and overall experience.
