Job description

Welcome to Graceland!
Graceland Portable Buildings is seeking an Independent Contractor Driver to transport and set portable buildings. This is a contract (1099) role-you provide your own truck/equipment and insurance and are not a Graceland employee, but a partner.
What You'll Do
  • Transport, deliver, set up, and, when applicable, anchor portable buildings at customer sites safely and on the scheduled delivery date.
  • Level and position buildings on-site with care and accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with dispatch/customers on ETAs, site access, and delivery status.
  • Use phone/tablet to receive dispatch details and submit required paperwork/photos.
  • Maintain contractor-owned truck/trailer/equipment in safe working condition.
  • Follow all applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements and safe work practices.
  • Provide professional, courteous service that reflects well on Graceland.

Requirements (Contractor / 1099)
  • Valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving record.
  • Own truck/trailer/equipment suitable for transporting and setting portable buildings.
  • Maintain required commercial auto liability insurance (and any other coverage required by contract) and provide proof upon request.
  • Ability to meet Graceland safety requirements (may include background screening/drug testing as permitted by law).
  • Ability to work regionally/out of town as needed.

Physical Demands
  • Able to lift/move up to 75+ lbs and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather.
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and manual labor throughout the day.
