What is port drayage?

Port drayage refers to the short-distance transportation of goods, typically by truck, between a port and a nearby destination such as a warehouse, rail terminal, or distribution center. This service is a critical part of the supply chain, helping to move shipping containers quickly and efficiently from ships to their next mode of transport. Drayage is essential for keeping goods flowing through busy ports and ensuring timely deliveries for importers and exporters.
