Pork Retail Sales Account Representativeย 
ย 
Purpose and Scope/General Summary:ย We are looking for aย Pork Retail Sales Account Representative to support our fresh pork sales in the retail space on our National Pork Sales Team. This personย will drive pork retail sales in the North and Lower Midwest Regionย to achieve revenue targets.ย In tandem with the team, this person will monitorย industry trends and account-specific business strategies to develop effective selling approaches aligned with company initiatives and goals.

Our ideal candidate will currently reside in and work from in a home/remote office in the Northern Midwest region with the ability to travel and cover the surrounding regions:ย North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri

Responsibilities:
ยทย  ย Prioritize driving fresh pork sales to achieve revenue targets.
ยทย  ย Monitor pork industry trends and account-specific business strategies to develop effective selling approaches aligned with company initiatives and goals.
ยทย  ย Leverage product knowledge and market insights to generate new sales opportunities.
ยทย  ย Identify customer needs and tailor new products and programs to meet their specific account objectives.
ยทย  ย Engage with accounts to discuss available programs and product offerings, fostering strong relationships.
ยทย  ย Stay informed about market conditions and emerging trends to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
ยทย  ย Regularly update management with market intelligence, including competitive activities and industry developments.
ยทย  ย Develop new accounts within assigned territories to ensure continuous sales growth.
ยทย  ย Maintain positive and professional relationships with existing accounts to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
ยทย  ย Conduct product demonstrations and seminars to showcase the value and benefits of JBS products.
ยทย  ย Visit customer facilities regularly to stay updated on their processes and procedures that may impact product usage or service.
ยทย  ย Coordinate with the sales team to ensure on-time deliveries, address product shortages, and provide updates on sales order status via phone communication.
ยทย  ย Collaborate with pricing and telephone sales teams to establish acceptable trading ranges, bids, offers, and contracts.
ยทย  ย Keep administrative duties and sales planning up to date to support overall sales effectiveness.
ยทย  ย Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:ย 
ยทย  ย Minimum of 5 years in the freshย retailย pork sales spaceย required.
ยทย  ย Experience selling to retail stores in the Midwest and surrounding areasย requiredย 
ยทย  ย Bachelorโ€™s degree (BS/BA) preferred, with a major in one of the following fields: Agriculture Business, Meat Science, Business, Marketing, Agricultural Economics, or Animal Science.
ยทย  ย Strong phone communication skills and the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
ยทย  ย Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ยทย  ย Bilingual in Spanish isย strongly preferred.
ยทย  ย Available to work 40+ hours per week.
ยทย  ย Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
ยทย  ย Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
ยทย  ย Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

ยทย  ย Incentive Pay:ย This position is eligible to participate in the Companyโ€™s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
