Job description

Responsibilities:

The Lead Medical Receptionist collaborates with the Practice Administrator in an office setting to ensure quality patient care.

  • Answer large volume of calls promptly.
  • Screen all calls for urgency and handle all calls with confidence, compassion and efficiency.
  • Overseeing Medical Receptionists and their day to day responsibilities.
  • Schedule appointments for all providers.
  • Make appointments for new and existing patients.
  • Collect and verify patient demographic information.
  • Take and record patient messages accurately.
  • Review and maintain provider?s schedules to ensure productivity and that appointments are scheduled appropriately.
  • Train new employees.
  • Handling patient related issues.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
  • Oversee employees? breaks and lunches regarding clock in/clock out.
  • Oversees waiting room flow.
  • Ensures call report is addressed (call backs, provider messages).
  • Manages Phreesia ? blasts, check in, text responses, insurance verification.
  • Responsible for copay collection.
  • Oversees handling of office pool to ensure timely answering of messages.
  • Admin Chart Scrub Oversight
  • Preview Incoming consults for provider review.

Rotating Weekends/ 1 Weekend Day
