Job Summary  
The Aquatics Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while providing excellent service to members and guests at the club’s pool facilities. This position is responsible for providing friendly and attentive service, ensuring pool areas are properly maintained, monitoring supplies and cleanliness, and supporting a positive member and guest experience. The Aquatics Attendant assists with setting up lounge chairs, umbrellas, and towels, maintains poolside order and cleanliness, and provides basic support to lifeguards and other staff as needed. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the club’s high standards of hospitality. 
Reporting Structure 
• This role may report to the Club Manager, Sports Club Director, Aquatics Director and/or Manager, or Fitness Director and/or Manager. 
Key Responsibilities 
•    Monitor the safety of members and guests in and around the pool during posted hours and special events; enforce all pool rules and club policies to ensure a safe environment. 
•    Greet members and guests warmly, assist with check-in, and verify membership or access as needed. 
•    Collect and submit pool-related revenue, charge slips, and other required documentation each day in accordance with club policies and procedures.  
•    Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the pool area by removing towels, trash, and personal items left by members, guests, and employees.  
•    Reset and straighten pool furniture at the start of each shift, throughout the day, and before closing. 
•    Build positive relationship with members by learning and using their names, providing attentive service, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.  
•    Complete all daily assignments and side work as directed, ensuring pool operations run smoothly and meet club standards.  
Additional Duties 
•    Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management. 
•    Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions. 
•    Responsible for demonstrating good teamwork.  
•    Professional, impeccable appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel. 
•    Take initiative to solve problems, utilizing all available resources including regional and corporate staff.  
•    Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely.  
•    Attendance at daily line-up and participating as requested. 
Qualifications  
Preferred 
•    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
•    Previous experience in aquatics, hospitality, and/or customer service experience. 
Physical Requirements 
•    Ability to stand, walk, swim, and remain alert for extended periods. 
•    Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and sun exposure. 
•    Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending as needed to perform rescues or assist members/guests.  
•    Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally, including during water rescues when moving equipment.  
•    Effective communication skills, including the ability to hear, speak clearly, and maintain sufficient visual acuity to monitor swimmers and identify safety concerns.
