Job description

Pool Technician

Company Overview

Big George's Pool Care is a growing pool service company focused on delivering high-quality, reliable service across Las Vegas. We are building a team of driven, accountable people who want more than just a job; they want a place to grow, lead, and be recognized for their performance. We value team spirit, continuous improvement, and transparent communication. Our vision is to become Las Vegas's premier pool service company by investing in our technicians with training, tools, and a clear path to advancement.

The Opportunity

As a Pool Technician, you will manage a route of residential and commercial pools, making sure each one is clean, safe, and ready for clients to enjoy. Your day will be active and varied: working outdoors, traveling between pools in a company truck, interacting with customers, and using modern equipment and testing tools.

This role is a strong fit if you like to work hard, learn quickly, and see clear results from your effort. If you enjoy being measured on your performance, want to build a trade skill set, and are motivated by the chance to grow into leadership roles, this is a meaningful next step in your career.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a daily pool service route, ensuring each assigned pool is cleaned, balanced, and serviced to company standards.
  • Use testing equipment and tools, including electric vacuums and advanced test kits, to diagnose and maintain proper water chemistry and cleanliness.
  • Document each service accurately in our systems and communicate clearly with the office and customers as needed.
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional, courteous on-site interactions and consistent, high-quality work.
  • Participate in hands-on, weekly, and video-based training, using a dedicated project and learning day to improve your skills and prepare for higher-responsibility roles.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within the first 36 months, you can independently run your route, consistently meeting service time, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Customer survey scores and Pay for Performance metrics show you delivering dependable, high-quality service across your pools.
  • You actively use training resources, reduce errors, and demonstrate noticeable improvement in technical knowledge and problem-solving.
  • You are trusted as someone who shows up ready to work, communicates clearly, and contributes positively to team goals and culture.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in pool service or other route-based work, or a strong interest in learning a route-based, hands-on trade.
  • A strong work ethic with reliability, accountability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Curiosity and a genuine desire to learn new skills, take feedback, and continuously improve.
  • Clear communication, professionalism with customers and teammates, and comfort being measured on performance and results.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Earn $17 per hour plus Pay for Performance, with current technicians earning $24$30 per hour.
  • Paid time off, including a full week each at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break, plus on-the-job training and referral programs.
  • Company-provided truck and fuel card, along with top-tier tools such as electric vacuums and sophisticated test equipment.
  • Retirement plan (401(k)) with match, with additional benefits being added in 2026, including a Health Reimbursement Account.
