Job Title: Manufacturing Electrical Engineer -Maintenance Department

Location: Onsite- Tucson, AZ

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer to join our team in overseeing the maintenance department within our flexible packaging manufacturing operations. This role will require a strong background in industrial electrical equipment troubleshooting, with an emphasis on PM scheduling, project management, inventory management, troubleshooting and equipment assessment. The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer will work closely with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance department, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
  • Oversee the implementation and scheduling of preventative maintenance (PM) programs to ensure optimal performance of machinery, particularly automated systems.
  • Apply leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage staff, schedules, and resources.
  • Drive improvements in maintenance efficiency, machinery uptime, and cost control.
  • Support the development and implementation of engineering solutions in automation, machinery, and processes.
  • Prepare reports and analysis of department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Project Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering preferably in the flexible packaging or related manufacturing industry (food & beverage).
  • Proven experience with PM scheduling, design, troubleshooting and repairing machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in industrial automation repair and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while driving continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems and maintenance management software.
  • Industrial Automation background.
  • Previous experience w/ VFD’s, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, control systems, and 3 phase motors, etc.
  • Ability to manage budgets and cost control for engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in manufacturing (SQF, GMP, OSHA Safety, etc.)
  • Preferred experience with machinery OEM’s, Uteco, DCM, ATN, Totani and Nordmeccanica.
