Job description

About the Role:
As a CBRE Data Sr. Analyst, you will perform a variety of analyses to ensure that recommendations and business conclusions are backed by sound data findings and thorough data research.
This job is part of the Data Science & Analytics job function. They are responsible for reviewing data that supports improving effectiveness and predicting outcomes to develop business intelligence.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate data aggregation and curate complex reports using various business intelligence and reporting applications
Perform ad-hoc, strategic review of structured and unstructured data, reflecting global real estate markets and the operations of real estate assets
Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize information to generate insights and address reporting needs
Define complex data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests
Use programming and evaluation tools, including open-source programs to plan models and extract insights
Identify opportunities to maximize data usage. Apply modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance
Develop ad-hoc reporting based on the review of existing data sources
Exhibit rigor, judgment, and ability to present a highly detailed 'data story' to many levels of the organization
Confirm the quality and integrity of new and existing data sources
Collaborate with operational teams to provide recommendations and communications on enhancing existing or new processes and programs
Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems
Have a broad knowledge of one's own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function
Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team; work within guidelines and policies
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Will need ability to influence to reach an agreement
Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations
Ability to document processes
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree. Master's degree preferred
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve complex problems
Ability to understand possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include PowerBi, Power Automate, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
Experience with data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization tools, specifically Alteryx, PowerBi and Tableau
Proficiency in programming languages specifically: SQL and Python
Some data engineering skills preferred including PySpark for Microsoft Fabric and Databricks
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; leveraging AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Co-Pilot.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of CMMS systems is preferred
