Job description

The Commercial Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing commercial reporting, dashboards, and datasets that support Sales, Sales Operations, Commercial Finance, and business leadership. This role transforms customer, sales, pricing, contract, and operational data into actionable insights that drive business performance, strategic decision-making, and process improvements.

The Commercial Data Analyst partners closely with Sales Operations, Commercial Finance, Sales Support, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and meaningful analytics across commercial systems and reporting platforms.

The Commercial Data Analyst works on-site in a Kerecis office and reports directly to the Commercial Data and Systems Manager. This is a full-time role.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools used to monitor sales performance, customer trends, revenue, and key business metrics
  • Analyze commercial data, including customer, provider, facility, pricing, contract, and sales information, to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable business insights
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Commercial Finance, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful analysis
  • Validate, reconcile, and monitor data across CRM, ERP, reporting platforms, and other commercial systems to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Support the design and maintenance of Power BI and other business intelligence solutions, including KPI reporting, ad hoc analysis, and executive dashboards
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and reporting enhancements that improve efficiency and support data-driven decision-making
  • Assist with data governance initiatives, system enhancements, testing activities, and documentation of reporting processes and business definitions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, sales operations, finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with CRM, ERP, and business intelligence platforms
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and dashboard development
