The Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct is a department within the Division of Student Affairs that handles matters concerning academic integrity and student conduct (i.e., alleged violations of University Policies and/or campus regulations regarding the activity of students and alleged violations of academic misconduct). OAISC enforces the Policies Applying to Campus Activities, Organizations and Students, established by the Regents of the University of California, and the UCI Academic Senate Policy on Academic Integrity with academic integrity and student conduct matters that apply to the whole campus. The Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct administers the student conduct process in a manner that promotes student learning and development. Through this process, the Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct may decide on sanctions that may irrevocably alter the lives of students and has the potential to lead to high profile lawsuits, audits, and investigations.
Uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in identifying methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Primarily deals with programs and proposals with broad impact across the function, research initiative, program and/or organization. Develops and oversees the implementation of new programs and processes.
Working under the direction of the Director of the Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct (OAISC), the Policy Analyst serves as the primary case manager for all sexual assault/sexual harassment contests and appeals, student conduct hearing board contests and appeals, and academic integrity appeals. The Policy Analyst monitors, interprets, and analyzes policy requirements concerning the Jeanne Clery Act, Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Title IX and Drug-Free Schools Act, the UCI Academic Senate Policy on Academic Integrity, and new state and federal legislation and procedures within OAISC. Will evaluate current policies and procedures and make recommendations for revisions and assist in the development of new procedures as needed. The incumbent will maintain all confidential conduct related files, conduct database (Advocate), website, and supporting documents as required by the University. The incumbent will independently manage a variety of projects, both short- and long-term. The Policy Analyst will also provide analytical support through academic integrity and student conduct records management and policy and data interpretation. Additionally, the Policy Analyst supervises the Project Policy Analyst 2 (Administrative Specialist) and their functions.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $88,000.00- $88,000.00 (Annual).
