Policy Development and Distribution Support Services

Marine Corps University (MCU) / College of Distance Education and Training (CDET)

Location:Quantico, VA

Employment Type:Full-Time

Security Clearance:Secret (Tier 3)

HatalomCorporation is seeking a Senior Academic Policy & Administrative Advisor to support the Dean of Academics at the Marine Corps University (MCU), College of Distance Education and Training (CDET). This position provides executive-level academic administrative support, educational policy development, executive correspondence, and program oversight to support CDET's academic mission. This position is contingent upon award.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Dean of Academics for the development of master's degree

levelacademic administrative and educational policy.

  • Assist the Dean of Academics in day-to-day activities across a broad range of dutiesto include but not be limitedto:
  • representinghim/her at MCU-level meetings,
  • coordinating with members of the MCU staff, drafting Information Papers,

Decision Papers, Power Point briefs, and other correspondence, and preparing

responses to taskers and RFIs from the J7, HQMC, TECOM, MCU, or other staffs.

  • Assist the Dean of Academics in the preparations of any JPME Phase I

certification requirements such as PAJE or OBME self-studies,PAJEor OBME

oriented reports, or J7 JPME requests for information.

  • Provide support in tracking and educationalexpertisesupport inassistingthe answeringof Higher Headquarters taskers in close coordination with CDET's four AssociateDeans and the Dean of Academics.
  • Assistinmaintainingthe currency of the Academic site within CDET's LMS, MOODLE.
  • Participate in weekly Academic meetings providing advice applicable to the aboveservices.
  • Assist the Dean of Academics in the oversight of Institutional Research Support
  • Services.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education administration, academic policy, or military education programs.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and briefing skills.
  • Experience preparing executive correspondence and senior leader presentations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work effectively with senior leaders.
  • Active Secret (Tier 3) Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Marine Corps University, Professional Military Education (PME), or Department of Defense education programs.
  • Knowledge of JPME accreditation processes (PAJE/OBME).
  • Experience with Moodle or other Learning Management Systems.
