Job description

Job Title

Accurately assess and perform basic nursing procedures required for all patients, including Emergency Room. Report changes in patient status to physician and other appropriate personnel.

Teach patients/families health promotion and maintenance, including pre- and post-operative care.

Initiate emergency care per department policy.

Assist physician with examinations, procedures, rounds and other processes related to direct patient care.

Prepare and document administration of medications - rectal, topical, oral and parenteral - according to department policy.

Cooperate with other personnel and physician to achieve department objectives and maintain the standard of care of each department.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas
