Reputable, global company that has been in business for more than 75 years is searching for a Policy Processing Specialist (Administrative) to join their dynamic team in Overland Park, KS.

Responsible for issuing policy documents (policy, endorsements, certificates, invoices) per underwriter instructions using Companyโ€™s policy issuance system and other applications.

  • Interpret underwriter instructions to issue policy documents
  • Update data in Companyโ€™s system to issue policy documents including manuscript documents and amended wordings
  • Issue documents in priority of urgency and Company standards and be able to adjust priorities
  • Copy and prepare policy documents for filing
  • Utilize telephone and Microsoft Outlook to communicate questions / answers and transmit policy documents to underwriters and brokers
  • Calculate endorsement premiums for manual policies using underwriterโ€™s instructions


Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience or in a similar position
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to interpret instructions and ask questions to achieve resolution of queries and discrepancies
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Demonstrate effective listening, customer service, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong time management, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume work environment with changing priorities
  • Prior experience in insurance or financial industry a plus


Anticipated Pay Range for This Role Is $50,000 โ€“ $60,000


This pay range represents the base annual full-time salary for this position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to relevant experience, education, geography and skill set. All full-time positions are eligible to participate in profit-sharing plan program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
