Job description

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our Fort Worth-based Managed Service Provider team. This role is ideal for a hands-on Microsoft 365 expert who can independently manage, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for multiple business clients. You will serve as a senior escalation resource for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint Online, and endpoint-management issues. The position includes periodic travel to customer locations throughout the Fort Worth area for implementations, troubleshooting, onboarding, and project work.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support multiple Microsoft 365 tenants in a fast-paced MSP environment.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID identities, users, groups, roles, licensing, access reviews, and conditional access policies.
  • Administer Exchange Online, including mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, mail flow, anti-spam, anti-phishing, transport rules, message tracing, and email security troubleshooting.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, deployment, update rings, Autopilot, encryption, and endpoint security.
  • Manage Windows 10/11 endpoint configurations including provisioning, policy enforcement, BitLocker, and remediation scripting.
  • Implement and maintain MFA, Conditional Access, identity protection, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Defender products and perform security investigations.
  • Administer Microsoft Teams policies, calling, meeting features, guest and external access, and troubleshooting.
  • Support SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams-connected sites, permissions, retention, and document access troubleshooting.
  • Plan and execute tenant migrations, email migrations, domain cutovers, consolidations, onboarding, and offboarding projects.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, usage analysis, cost optimization, and license assignment automation.
  • Configure security, retention, audit, eDiscovery, DLP, and compliance settings per client requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex authentication, Outlook, Office Apps, Teams, OneDrive sync, Intune enrollment, and device compliance issues.
  • Assist with Azure services such as VMs, storage, networking, VPN, backup, and hybrid identity integrations.
  • Support hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID environments including Entra Connect Sync, password sync, SSO, and hybrid join.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for administration, reporting, onboarding, offboarding, and remediation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, environment diagrams, and knowledge-base articles.
  • Participate in client projects, assessments, security reviews, and vCIO/vIT planning discussions.
  • Provide senior escalation support to the help desk and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical clients.
  • Travel to client sites in Fort Worth as needed for onsite support, implementation, onboarding, and project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple clients or multiple Microsoft 365 tenants; MSP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Expert-level working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Strong experience administering MFA, Conditional Access, identity security, email security, and endpoint compliance policies.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Intune licensing/features.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook, Exchange Online mail flow, Teams, OneDrive sync, identity/authentication, and device-management issues.
  • Experience with hybrid Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, and Entra Connect Sync.
  • Strong PowerShell skills for administration and automation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing client needs, and communicate status professionally.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to customer sites in the Fort Worth area.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102).
  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate (SC-400).
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300).
  • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200).
  • Experience with Azure administration, VPNs, firewalls, backup/disaster recovery, and RMM tools.
