Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a trusted automotive service provider in Petoskey to hire a Tire Technician. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving mechanical problems, and helping customers stay safe on the road.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Install, remove, and replace tires on a variety of vehicles
  • Perform tire repairs, rotations, balancing, and wheel alignments
  • Inspect tires for wear, damage, and overall safety
  • Check and adjust tire pressure to manufacturer specifications
  • Read and interpret service orders and manufacturer recommendations
  • Communicate tire conditions and service recommendations with customers
  • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
  • Operate shop equipment and hand tools safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with additional shop and service duties as assigned


What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of tire technician, automotive, or related mechanical experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to safely lift heavy tires and equipment throughout the day
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience performing tire installations, balancing, and alignments
  • General automotive repair or maintenance experience
