Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented PMO Business Operations Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will support PMO leadership on a complex, high-visibility program by driving business operations, process efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting PMO leadership with day-to-day business operations, including planning, tracking, reporting, and coordination across the program.

  • Developing, maintaining, and improving PMO processes, templates, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  • Leveraging SharePoint and available AI tools within MS 365 to automate and streamline business operations, data collection, and reporting.

  • Managing and optimizing SharePoint sites and program pages, including coordination with programstakeholders.

  • Collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing project and financial data (schedule, cost, risks, resources, deliverables) for dashboards and management reports.

  • Preparing executive-level briefings, status reports, and decision packages for PMO leadership and customer stakeholders.

  • Coordinating internal reviews, governance boards, and recurring PMO rhythm-of-business activities (stand-ups, IPTs, reviews, etc.).

  • Scheduling and tracking formal contract deliverables including coordination of input from leads as part of SharePoint requirements.

  • Tracking and performing data transfer actions.

  • Tracking required training for program staff.

  • Supporting resource planning, onboarding, and workforce management activities in coordination with HR, recruiting, and project leads.

  • Assisting with budget tracking, funding alignment, and contract/task order administration in partnership with finance and contracts teams.

  • Monitoring compliance with PMO standards, quality expectations, and contractual requirements, and identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and helping implement tools and automation to streamline PMO operations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience supporting a Project Management Office (PMO) or large/complex program in a business operations, project coordination, or analyst role.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing SharePoint sites, including site/page creation, permissions, and content management.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and automation within MS365 environments.

  • Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and visualization using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and (ideally) Power BI or similar.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing management-ready briefings and documentation.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and with all levels of management.

  • Clearance - TS/SCI and Poly

  • Location - 100% on customer site (Reston, VA area)

  • Experience in a government, defense, or national security program environment.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks (PMBOK, Agile, SAFe, etc.).
