Starting Salary: $118,200 to $189,100 Annually
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:
The PMO Senior Manager provides strategic leadership, governance, and oversight for all project and program management activities within the division. This role ensures that projects are aligned with divisional and enterprise priorities, executed with disciplined methodology, and delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The PMO Senior Manager leads a team of project managers and collaborates with cross-functional leaders to drive operational excellence and strategic execution.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Strategic leadership & governance
  • Establish, maintain, and mature the divisional PMO framework, methodologies, and standards.
  • Ensure alignment of project portfolios with divisional and corporate strategy.
  • Develop governance processes including intake, prioritization, approval, and reporting.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define project success metrics and performance KPIs.
  • Portfolio & program management
  • Oversee the full project portfolio, balancing resources, schedule, risk, and budget.
  • Lead cross-functional program execution for high-impact initiatives.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews, providing guidance, risk mitigation, and strategic escalation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely status reporting to senior leadership.
  • Team leadership & development
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of project managers and analysts.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching on project management best practices, tools, and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Oversee resource planning and capacity management across the project portfolio.
  • Process optimization & continuous improvement.
  • Analyze PMO operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Implement tools and systems that support high-quality project execution (e.g., project management software, dashboards, templates).
  • Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and incorporate improvements.
  • Stakeholder engagement & communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the PMO and divisional / corporate leadership.
  • Facilitate communication across teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and informed decision-making.
  • Present portfolio insights, risks and recommendations to executive audiences.

Experience/Skills:
  • 8 - 12 + years of progressive project / program management experience.
  • 3 - 5 + years leading PMO or project management teams.
  • Experience in large-scale transformation, operations, or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Certifications (preferred but no required)
    • PMP®, PgMP®, PMO-CP, or equivalent
    • Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP)
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Strong command of project management methodologies and tools.
    • Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
