Job Title: Mechanical Calibration Technician
Location: Cypress, CA 92821
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Optional Overtime)
Salary: $20- 28 per hour, depending on experience (DPE)


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Physical Dimensional and Mechanical Calibration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of our clients' measurement instruments. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration of thread rings, rulers, hand tools, pressure gauges, and related instruments.
  • Prepare calibration reports and certificates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Inspect equipment to verify accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine calibration procedures.
  • Assist in audits and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot calibration equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper storage of calibration standards and tools.
  • Support quality control initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in cross-functional training and skill development.

All calibrations adhere to standards accredited under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006.


Requirements and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Physical Dimensional and Mechanical Calibration (required).
  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident (required).
