Reports to: Supply Chain Manager - US
Role Overview
The role requires a structured and forward-leaning professional who will contribute to building and maintaining the purchasing function from the ground up in collaboration with the Supply Chain team. The position will be central in the development of the mines and associated processing facilities, covering both operational purchasing and follow-up of any PMC procurement activities during the project phase. The role will also be instrumental in implementing and sustaining SAP and establishing a purchasing function ready for operations.
Scope & Accountability
  • Execute day-to-day ordering of goods, equipment, and services for the site
  • Follow Blue Moon policies and procedures
  • Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and select suppliers
  • Ensure purchases meet technical specifications, budget, and delivery timelines
  • Maintain supplier databases and monitor market trends
  • Follow up any PMC contractor procurement activities for equipment packages
  • Act as SAP superuser for purchasing processes in the US
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and company standards
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project teams on purchasing needs
  • Monitor and report purchasing status, risks, and performance
  • Support development of procurement strategies and sourcing plans
  • Submit purchasing reports as defined by the company.
Authorities
  • Approve purchase orders and supplier awards within delegated authority limits
  • Own and enforce sourcing and procurement processes
  • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
  • Select and onboard suppliers in line with company standards
  • Reject or stop procurement actions not meeting requirements
  • Escalate and mitigate supply risks impacting cost, schedule, or quality
  • Control and maintain procurement data and governance in SAP
  • Initiate and support contracting strategies with stakeholders
  • Approve deviations from procurement procedures within authority limits
  • Drive supplier performance management and corrective actions.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' related experience in purchasing, supply chain and logistics
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Engineering, Project Controls, Expediting, Logistics, Construction, Commissioning, Warehouse & Materials Management, QA/QC, SAP Implementation Team, and any PMC Contractors.
