MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of an apprenticeship in a related field, such as machinist, electrician or electronics technician, may be substituted for not more than one year of the required experience. \r\n\r\nLicense: Possession of a valid California Driver's license. \r\n\r\nNOTE: The Civil Service Commission may modify the above Minimum Qualifications in the announcement of an examination.\r\n\r\n
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

EXAMINATION COMPONENTS
THE EXAMINATION WILL\r\nCONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n A review of\r\n applicants' application to verify possession of minimum requirements. Those candidates who possess the minimum\r\n requirements for the class will move on to the next step in the examination\r\n process.\r\n A review of the\r\n supplemental questionnaire to determine the best qualified that will be\r\n weighted as qualifying only (pass/fail). Candidates who pass the best qualified\r\n exam component will move on to the final step in the examination process.\r\n An oral examination\r\n which will be weighted as 100% of the candidates' final examination score.
