Job description

We are seeking a Change and Release IT Service Management Analyst to help advance and improve our IT Service Management (ITSM) practices. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter who enjoys solving problems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working across teams to drive meaningful outcomes. As a member of the Change and Release team, you will play an active role in simplifying processes, improving stakeholder experience, and supporting automation efforts that enable efficient and reliable technology delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Change and Release Management process activities across multiple functions including operations, engineering, development, QA, project management, audit, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure processes are documented, reviewed, and approved in compliance to the established controls and procedures.
  • Support process owners and business stakeholders in the assessment of risks.
  • Proactively bring forward ideas and recommendations that improve operational effectiveness and service quality.
  • Communicate Release status through regular reports and presentations to various audiences, including management and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify Change and Release requirements and dependencies.
  • Develop and maintain Change and Release documentation including release notes and implementation plans.
  • Promote the development and enhancement of Change and Release management processes and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT Service Management, technology operations, project coordination, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple teams, projects, or operational functions.
  • Experience in Change and Release Management is a plus.
  • Detail oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in Information Technology, Service Management, Service Operations, or related experience in Change Management, Release Management, Incident and Problem Management.
  • 2+ years' utilizing ITSM tools, such as ServiceNow.

Plus:

  • ITIL v4 certification
  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow
  • Experience with Release and Change management tools and version control systems
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company's primary technology and operations center. This modern and environmentally friendly technology center enables Zions to compete for the best technology talent in the state while providing team members with an exceptional work environment with features such as:
