About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on PLC programmer who can hit the ground running on customer sites with minimal guidance. This is a field-focused role that requires both electrical troubleshooting skills and strong programming ability.


What You'll Do

  • Travel to customer sites to commission, troubleshoot, and support automation systems
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and software issues independently
  • Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs
  • Work with limited documentation in fast-paced environments


Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (required)
  • Ladder logic programming proficiency (required)
  • VFD programming experience (required)
  • Basic networking skills including assigning/changing IP addresses, pinging devices, EtherNet/IP communication, and Modbus
  • Ability to troubleshoot both electrical hardware and PLC software
  • Comfortable working independently with little supervision
  • Willing to travel approximately 1 week per month


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Siemens or AutomationDirect platforms
  • Panel wiring or electrical drawing experience
