Summary Description:
Controls Engineers play a key role in bringing our manufacturing equipment to life. In this role, you'll help design, develop, and start up the industrial control systems that will keep our production operations running smoothly. You'll take ownership of equipment startup and troubleshooting at ENTEK's Terre Haute, Indiana facility, working hands-on with systems that make a real impact. You'll use P&IDs, scope documents, functional descriptions, and electrical drawings to write and refine PLC programs and HMI systems. Beyond programming, you'll help shape full project scopes, create and run test procedures, and support on-site installation and commissioning. This is a role where your expertise truly matters-and where you can see the results of your work every day.
Other related details of the position:
  • Design and program various Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and SCADA platforms.
  • Supervision esponsibilities include budgetary, planning, and safety.
  • Review P&IDs and interact with Engineering Department personnel.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Position requires this individual to support after-hours calls from time to time.
  • Position requires regular troubleshooting and customer service activities
  • Follow Lean manufacturing utilizing tools such as Kaizens, 5S, RIE's and other work area standards.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Competency with Siemens Step 7 in TIA Portal & Associated PLC and I/O Hardware.
