Title: Oral Health Educator
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204

Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $$/hour. on 1099 all inclusive without benefits

Position Overview
The Oral Health Educator will play a pivotal role in promoting oral health awareness across diverse settings, including skilled nursing facilities, schools, and early learning centers. This position focuses on equipping Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), school nurses, educators, and families with the practical skills needed to improve preventive oral care and long-term health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Education & Training: Develop and conduct tailored workshops for healthcare staff (CNAs, school nurses) and community partners regarding oral health best practices.
Resource Development: Create accessible, culturally appropriate educational materials, including digital content, guides, checklists, and videos.
Strategic Collaboration: Work with facility leadership and administrators to integrate oral health education into existing patient care protocols and school health programs.
Outreach & Advocacy: Participate in health fairs, community events, and public health campaigns to expand oral health awareness for vulnerable populations.
Program Management: Assist with grant proposals, budget tracking, data collection, and reporting to monitor the efficacy of educational initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or a related field (Required).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience delivering health education or training programs in school, healthcare, or community settings.
Technical Knowledge: 2+ years of experience with oral hygiene practices, common dental conditions, and preventive care strategies.
Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including healthcare teams, families, and administrators.
