Job description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, performing account reconciliations, assisting with close processes, help with conducting external/internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. The Sr. Accountant will accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are paramount.

Responsibilities:
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Assisting Controller as needed
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with general administrative functions
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for management
  • Support the monthend close process
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
