Position Summary
At The Joint Chiropractic, technology is critical to keeping our clinics connected, our data secure, and our business running efficiently. We're looking for a Director of Cloud Platform Operations & Security to own the architecture, security, and day-to-day operation of our enterprise cloud environment.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you'll serve as the technical owner of our AWS and Microsoft cloud platforms, leading infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational reliability. This is a highly hands-on role where you'll partner with managed service providers while maintaining architectural ownership and driving strategic technical decisions.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, embraces modern cloud and security technologies, leverages AI to automate and improve operations, and thrives in an environment where they have the autonomy to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the architecture, administration, and ongoing operation of AWS and Microsoft cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure.
  • Ensure the availability, security, performance, and scalability of the Company's cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead cybersecurity operations, including identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring.
  • Maintain compliance with security and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001, while supporting internal and external audits.
  • Partner with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to deliver reliable infrastructure and security operations.
  • Drive cloud optimization initiatives, balancing performance, security, scalability, and cost management.
  • Develop and enhance disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response processes.
  • Leverage AI and automation to improve infrastructure management, security operations, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to technology leadership, identifying risks, recommending solutions, and supporting the Company's continued growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or platform operations.
  • Strong experience administering AWS and Microsoft cloud technologies, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure.
  • Experience with enterprise cybersecurity, identity and access management, network security, and incident response.
  • Experience supporting compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC, PCI, HIPAA, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience managing MSP and MSSP relationships and working with third-party auditors.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud monitoring, automation, and modern cloud security tools.
  • Demonstrated use of AI to automate workflows, strengthen security operations, or improve infrastructure management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and the ability to operate independently.

This role follows a hybrid schedule and will require an in-office presence at our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters at least three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
