The Platform Product Manager is responsible for driving the development and improvement of the audit platforms used to support Data Mining, Subrogation, and other future RCA products.

In this role, they will partner closely with business stakeholders to integrate their requirements into the platform product vision and are accountable for development roadmaps within their area of focus. Additionally, they will work alongside engineering teams to establish the scope and acceptance criteria, ensuring the successful delivery of these requirements. The collaboration will extend to Technical Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Delivery Managers, aligning product and feature delivery with project milestones and strategic objectives, thereby guaranteeing high satisfaction levels among internal customers.

Responsibilities

Platform Product Development and Agile Execution:

  • Champion the entire product lifecycle from visionary feature ideation to successful launch, ensuring the timely release of high-quality, innovative solutions through agile methodologies.
  • Work with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications, features, and actionable tasks.

Vision and Roadmap:

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and roadmap.
  • Create and maintain a feature backlog, prioritizing features based on value, impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Partner with project manager to ensure status and metrics are accurate and up to date.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams including business operations, engineering, architecture, and design.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Cultivate and nurture collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including customers, engineering teams, and support partners to drive success.
  • Gather feedback, listen to concerns, and address stakeholder needs and expectations effectively.

Decision Making:

  • Make data-driven decisions based on customer feedback, and business insights to prioritize features, allocate resources, and mitigate risks.
  • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges and make timely decisions that drive product success.
  • Communicate decisions effectively, providing rationale and context to stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment and understanding.

Product Launch:

  • Coordinate the successful launch of new platforms and features, including all required training and support during the implementation phase.
  • Identify the milestones and requirements to deliver product through the lifecycle of POC, pilot/beta, production release (general availability).
  • Participate and perform business validation during production deployment sessions (off hours).

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of products post-launch and iterate based on data-driven insights.
  • Coordinate and partner with Data Analysts to deliver KPI metrics in a repeatable manner and in line with dashboard reporting.
  • Coordinate KPI measures with leadership to ensure alignment to overall project and business objectives.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Required).

Industry and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the US healthcare industry, specifically in healthcare payment analytics, coordination of benefits, or payment integrity.
  • Experience (1-3 years) in product management, preferably in the healthcare industry, with a focus on subrogation audit solutions or related products.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare compliance, auditing processes, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).

Preferred Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong Technical Foundation: Deep understanding of software development methodologies, technology stacks, and product lifecycle management.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proficient in agile methodologies and tools, such as Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence. Ability to manage feature backlogs in JIRA and perform JQL queries.
  • Data Analysis: Experience in working with and writing SQL queries. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, HUE, DBeaver, and Datameer is beneficial.
  • MS Office and Visualization Tools: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Query) and data visualization tools like MS Power BI, and Tableau.

Preferred Technical Knowledge:

  • Advanced Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, AI, and other emerging technologies relevant to healthcare audit products.
  • Programming and Big Data Tools: Experience with Python, Spark, Hadoop, Tableau, and similar big data technologies.
  • Application and Tool Experience: Proficiency with Appian technology, Drools business rule management system (BRMS), and using Postman for interfacing with API endpoints.
  • Automation and Product Management Tools: Experience in process automation and managing program goals utilizing agile tools such as Jira Align.
  • Performance Monitoring: Experience with tools and techniques for monitoring the performance of applications, identifying bottlenecks, and making necessary optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in global work processes, including accommodating different time zones.

Base compensation ranges from $84,000 to $105,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
