Job description

Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the growth, enhancement, and maintenance of all aspects of NMWMC's advisory platform, including trading capabilities, proposal workflow, billing capabilities, investment policy violations, reporting, and integrated solutions. A key component of the role includes designing and implementing new platform features and configurations in support of product enhancements and additions that advance usability, scalability, and advisor satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of the advisory product suite, including investment knowledge and significant wealth management expertise, along with deep understanding and expertise in the Envestnet platform and associated integrations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Translates product strategy into platform design details, implements changes, and tests that products perform as designed.

  • Assists in leading platform strategy, design, configuration, execution, and testing for advisory program products and features.

  • Understands the impact of regulatory compliance on platform functionality and investment products, and participates in project teams to implement necessary changes to products, programs, or processes.

  • Interprets field feedback and customer needs and serves as the go-to product platform expert who can explain and translate product or program platform functionality, features, and functions to internal and external partners.

  • Responsible for pre-project planning and business cases for small projects.

  • Presents platform enhancements and best practices to large groups of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Serves as a deep subject matter expert for internal home office teams that have a platform dependency or are building integrated software or processes with a platform dependency.

  • Leads solutioning and investigation for complex platform issues and defects.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for advisors and teams related to platform functionality, including educating and coaching on best practices and mentoring around core methodologies, patterns, standards, and processes.

  • Collects feedback from advisors, teams, and internal stakeholders on desired new platform features. Solutions configuration options and platform development projects required to deliver new features. Leads the process of documenting requirements, partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders on feature design, testing, implementation, rollout, and change management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, economics or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5 plus years of experience in financial services .

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Wealth Management industry, including product, pricing, and customer preferences.

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with ability to work within deadlines, prioritize work and multitask.

  • Ability to participate as a subject matter expert in departmental or cross-departmental initiatives.

  • Ability to anticipate impact of decisions, future consequences and trends.

  • Ability to build strong internal and external networks and utilize resources in the industry .

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to make effective formal presentations to small and medium size groups.

  • FINRA - Non-Registered Fingerprinted.
