Job Overview
The Martin Luther Care Center RN Casual Nurse leads, supervises and directs and/or delegates all nursing functions on assigned unit or floor to assure care is provided per plan of care. This position must demonstrate sound management skills through problem solving and decision making. They are responsible to supervise in compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as Ebenezer Standards and policies for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN (Martin Luther Care Center). Team includes a Director of Nursing, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Social Worker, and more.
Weekend Long term care and transitional care unit charge nursing schedule includes;
  • Casual/On-Call schedule
  • Day/evening/night shift
  • Weekends as needed

Assures staff compliance with State and Federal regulations, Nursing Standards of Practice and Ebenezer Quality Assurance Standards
Assures Care Plan, medical records and other documentation are up to date
Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies
Reports problem areas to management and provides suggestions and solutions
Serves as facility supervisor and assumes administrative responsibilities as assigned
Required:
Minimum Associates RN Degree
One to three years' experience required
Current MN RN license by start date
CPR /BLS certified
Preferred:
BSN preferred
Three to five years experience preferred
Previous LTC management experience preferred
