Job description

Position Summary

The Planning Manager is responsible for providing pre-sales technical support for non-standard automation projects, leading solution design, and driving the full technical proposal lifecycle from customer requirements through to bid submission. This role serves as the technical bridge between customer needs, internal engineering capabilities, and commercial objectives, ensuring that all proposed solutions align with Haosen's strategic direction and deliver competitive value to customers.


Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales Technical Support

Lead pre-sales technical engagement for non-standard automation projects; gather, analyze, and document full project requirements from customer specifications and site visits.

2. Solution Planning & Design

Develop comprehensive technical solutions aligned with company strategic direction and customer requirements, covering process flow, equipment configuration, and layout planning.

3. Product Selection & Market Intelligence

Maintain working knowledge of comparable products and competing solutions in the market; conduct product selection to optimize solution competitiveness and cost efficiency.

4. Technical Documentation

  • Draft technical agreements and specifications; prepare complete technical bid documents including technical proposals, compliance matrices, and solution presentations.

5. Bid & Proposal Participation

  • Participate in commercial bidding activities; lead technical presentation and clarification during bid defense sessions, representing Haosen's technical capabilities to customers.

6. Customer Communication & Technical Support

  • Assist in managing customer relationships throughout the pre-sales cycle; provide timely and accurate technical responses to customer inquiries and clarification requests.

7. Internal Knowledge Sharing & Training

Conduct regular internal technical exchange sessions and knowledge sharing; deliver product and technology training to relevant departments including Sales, PM, and Purchasing.

8. Other Duties

Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in overall process planning for battery systems, e-drive systems, or conventional powertrain products
  • Prior experience in a non-standard automation or special-purpose machine environment is strongly preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD / engineering drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
