A Snapshot of Your Day
The NA Hub Strategy & Business Development Manager is responsible for developing sound understanding of the external environment and business drivers in order to develop strategies that support driving new business into the Siemens Energy NA hub region and to advise senior management on strategic positioning. Convert above knowledge along with other topics into regular executive presentations for the region head to present to managing and supervisory board members. Utilize multifaceted skillset to conceptualize business strategies and leverage the organization to turn strategies into sales.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Identify, develop, and scale new business opportunities, including bringing existing solutions into new markets and industries, and introducing new products, services, or business models to existing and emerging customers.
  • Lead end-to-end new business development, with accountability for performance, including business case development, financial and operational planning, and execution in collaboration across BUs, divisions, and functions.
  • Deliver trusted market, competitor, and customer insights across the Siemens Energy portfolio by synthesizing external market research, analyst reports, regulatory trends, competitor strategies, customer intelligence, and internal operational data.
  • Shape and advance corporate and regional strategy, translating global strategic priorities (e.g., decarbonization) into regional execution, supporting company-wide strategy processes, and acting as a thought partner to senior leadership and the Managing Director.
  • Identify and activate growth enablers, including cross-divisional synergies, white-spot opportunities, partnerships, alliances, investments, M&A opportunities, and external technology sourcing to create sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Lead executive-level communications and influence, including development of senior management and board-level presentations, external positioning and thought-leadership initiatives, and championing strategy execution through strong stakeholder alignment.

What You Bring
  • 15+ years of industry experience, including 10+ years in strategy and business development within the North American energy market, with demonstrated expertise across energy consultancy, market research, investment banking, or similar environments.
  • Deep energy sector knowledge spanning Oil & Gas, industrial applications, generation technologies, transmission products and services, utilities, and alternative, clean, and distributed energy solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in start-up environments and/or end-to-end product development, from concept through commercialization.
  • Strong strategic and execution capabilities, including business, financial, and operational planning, with a proven ability to translate strategy into launched business solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in business tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Think-Cell, Efficient Elements, Tableau).Travel 25-50%
